Fair and equal access to credit and capital allows individuals to
bring about dignified economic strength to their personal lives and to our
communities. Unfortunately, a segment of our community has an unequal access
to credit and capital because of its exclusion from main stream commerce. A
separate and unequal parallel financial system for the most vulnerable in
our community is unfair. Our community needs a fair chance to become
economically viable. To this end we need to work together to ensure that the
principles of fairness and equality guide our access to credit and capital.
