About DCRAC
Ensuring equitable access to legal and financial services
|
Enacted in 1977, the Community Reinvestment Act encourages banks to help meet the credit needs of their communities, especially in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods where residents may not have access to traditional banking establishments. The motivating force behind DCRAC’s founding, the CRA further enables advocates like us the opportunity to push public policy in the right direction and hold the big banks accountable.
